Using matching games players can learn different chemical combinations and in their own lab to try out different ways materials work with chemicals, and different temperatures. Games are set up as quests, or familiar game formats that kids will want to play over and over again. As kids learn more, they can level up and play harder science games. Players start with basic stills in chemistry, physics, and natural sciences. School of Dragons is built on a format that encouraging learning.
There is also in game chat that players can use, which can also be disabled. Knowing that not all parents will want their kids playing games online, JumpStart made the MMO optional and parents can turn that off. Modeled on a similar format as WOW (World of Warcraft), this allows the players to play in the same world (in real time) as well as play with their friends. JumpStart created School of Dragons as a MMORPG or Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. The new game is already live, and is called School of Dragons – and it’s a great way to get your kids involved! Since DreamWorks knows that kids love the How to Train Your Dragons franchise, they’ve paired up with JumpStart to bring a new learning game and app just in time for the launch of Dragons: Race to the Edge. One of the easiest ways for kids to learn is through play, and the best part is kids don’t even realize they’re learning.
